Before You Turn In Your Poster
Use this checklist before bringing your artwork to us:
My poster represents the theme “Harmony in Humanity.”
I will be 11, 12 or 13 years old on November 15, 2026.
I created the entire poster myself.
I did not use AI-generated artwork.
My poster is at least 13" × 20" and no larger than 20" × 24".
There are no words or numbers on the front of my poster.
My signature or initials, if included, are on the back.
Nothing is glued, stapled or attached to my poster.
My poster is not framed, matted or laminated.
If I used chalk, charcoal or pastels, I used a fixative to prevent smearing.
My artwork is flexible enough to be rolled for shipping.
I have not folded my poster.
Entries that do not meet the official Lions International rules and conditions are subject to disqualification.

Step 2 — Create Your Poster
Create your original artwork following the contest rules above.
Parents are encouraged to talk with their children about the theme and what peace and “Harmony in Humanity” might mean to them. The artwork itself, however, must be the student’s own original creation.
Step 3 — Deliver Your Poster in Person
Deadline: November 1, 2026 at 5:00 PM
All posters must be delivered in person.
The Sherborn Lions Club will provide designated poster drop-off opportunities before the deadline.
Drop-off dates and times will be posted on this page.
Please do not mail your poster or leave it unattended at a drop-off location.
Posters must be received by the Sherborn Lions Club no later than 5:00 PM on November 1, 2026.
Please protect the artwork while transporting it and do not fold it.
How Are the Posters Judged?
Every poster is evaluated using three official criteria:
Originality — The originality of the student’s idea and artistic approach.
Artistic Merit — The artistic quality of the work.
Expression of the Theme — How effectively the artwork expresses “Harmony in Humanity.”
These same three criteria are used as posters advance through the different levels of the Lions International competition.
What Happens After You Submit Your Poster?
The Sherborn Lions Club will arrange for the local entries to be judged.
A winning poster will be selected to represent our local contest and advance to the next level of the Lions International Peace Poster Contest.
The Sherborn Lions Club handles the paperwork and forwarding of the winning poster. Families do not need to mail their artwork to Lions International or arrange for it to advance to the next level.
If a student’s poster is selected to advance, a parent or legal guardian’s signature will be required on the official Lions International Winner Sticker.
A winning poster can continue through additional levels of Lions judging and potentially reach the international competition.
International Grand Prize
One International Grand Prize Winner receives US$5,000 (or local equivalent) and an award.
The winner is also invited to an award ceremony. Two family members—one of whom must be a parent or legal guardian—and a representative of the sponsoring Lions Club are invited to accompany the winner.
23 Merit Award Winners each receive US$500 (or local equivalent) and a certificate of achievement.
Important Information for Parents
If a poster advances beyond the local contest, Lions International requires the signature of a parent or legal guardian.
The official winner documentation includes permission for Lions International to use the child’s name, photographs and artwork for promotional and publicity purposes. It also states that posters received by Lions International become the property of Lions International and cannot be returned.
By entering, participants also agree to be bound by the official contest rules and the decisions of the judges and Lions International.
